M&S Exhibition at Somerset House

Marks & Spencer joined the London Fashion Weekend celebrations with a four-day exhibition held in the East Wing of Somerset House.

Working with INCA Productions, I designed a carousel installation showcasing the ‘London Calling’ clothes collection.

The clothing was hung with chrome pulleys from the cantilevered carousel, enabling visitors to interact with the structure by lowering and raising specific garments for closer inspection.

The structure, built by Aldworth James & Bond, involved rolled steel halo frames, timber and acrylic shelving. As part of a listed building, we had to design the carousel to be delicately stabilised from an existing arch with minimal fixings.

Additional items around the room included ipad stands and a floating shelving unit to display accessories.
