Lulu and Co launch

I assisted Fiona Leahy on the launch of Lulu Kennedy's new fashion collective Lulu & Co at Harvey Nichols. This is a collaborative collection between Lulu and ten of of the designers whose work she has showcased during the ten years of Fashion East.

The theme for the night was 'Disco Mexicana', so we mixed Mexican festival features with a touch of gilded 70s glamour. Gold shimmer curtains, neon signs and disco balls featured alongside festoon lighting and hand painted signage by Jamie Brown on the corrugated metal bar.

I designed the bespoke paper 'picado' garlands, which were, laser cut and then assembled and strung up across the ceiling.

The catering was provided by Bistrotheque, who became “Bistrotaco” for the evening, supplying a steady stream of tasty Mexican street food and Hibiscus Margaritas.

Outside on the palm fringed terrace we created a churros stand with delicious heart shaped churros courtesy of Milli’s Catering.
