HN Haberdashery, Vogue's Night Out

I assisted Fiona Leahy with the creation of the Harvey Nichols Haberdashery for Vogue's Fashion Night Out, with featured designers Erdem, Marcus Lupfer, Marios Schwab and Johnathan Saunders customizing Vogue FNO T-shirts and bags for charity.

It is a rare opportunity to meet such esteemed fashion designers and these occasions can feel quite formal but the specially erected haberdashery counters made the space feel like a workshop and provided an interactive and creative environment where customers could have their clothes customised by the designer. Both the designers and public were engaged, especially as there was an added element of friendly competition.

Each designer had a work station equipped with tools to help them personalise the T-shirts; stencils and spray paint, ruffled lace and fabric, eyelets and studs, ribbon and glue.

We also set up a Vogue “More Dash than Cash” photoshoot where customers could be photographed in a studio setting wearing their newly customised items. The photos were then uploaded onto the Harvey Nichols blog.
